Unforgettable parties were held on the terrace of PH Honorio. But since the lower floor of the house and the large empty terrace were connected by a tiny staircase that was difficult to access, people stayed on the terrace and if the weather was not good, they had to pile up on the ground floor and wait for it to stop raining to go back up.
At the request of its inhabitants to plan a change in the behavior of the house, the project focused on reformulating the relationship between the terrace and the lower floor of the unit. So that the parties were not a fragmentation between the roof and the house, the proposed remodeling builds a route that links the lower floor with the upper floor, in which different spatial situations take place.
The project shifts the floor levels towards the back of the unit, creating new spaces, both on the route and on the upper floor. The terrace is no longer empty, it has an interior space, the kitchen, which becomes the central place for the celebration. Two open terrace spaces are organized around this triangular space: one more spacious and facing the street, another smaller and taller, the most intimate place on that large terrace.
